Description

The best trailing petunia from seed. The intense violet-purple blooms are stunning in hanging baskets, performing better than surfinia petunias raised from cuttings. Unlike surfinias they continue to produce flowers on top as well as bottom of the plant. Can also be used for ground cover.

Height: 80-100cm (42-48"")

Pack size: 20 Seeds

Sow February to March

Where to sow - Sow seed on thr surface of good free draining seed compost and lightly cover with a fine sprinkling of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place at a temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F) until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

What to do next - When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 15-30cm (6-12"") apart, or plant into containers. Overwinter September sowings in a cold frame then plant out the following spring.

Flowers June onwards

Handy Tip - Keep baskets well watered and fed with a high potash feed to prolong flowering all summer in baskets and containers.
