Description

Elongated fruit with small bulbous end. Skin is pale golden orange with deep orange flesh of sweet flavour that improves after storage. Produces about 4 fruits per plant, weighing up to 2 kg.

WHEN TO SOW J

January to March

INDOORS

Space the seeds 2cm (1/2") apart in trays or individually in modules under glass at 18°C. Cover with polythene or glass to retain humidity. Remove cover as soon as seedlings appear. Once true leaves have opened, prick off tray seedlings into 9cm (4") pots. When the first flowers are forming, transplant to growing site. Stake for support and remove side shoots as they appear. 

OUTDOORS

Harden off the plants before transplanting to outdoors.
