Description

The best open pollinated African marigold on the market. British bred with extremely weather resistant flowers due to the unique petal formation which prevents excessive water being held in the blooms.

Height 30cm (12"")

Pack size: 50 Seeds

When to sow - February to April

Where to sow - Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or in a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 21-25°C (70-75°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days.

What to do next - When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12"") apart in well-drained soil in full sun.

Flowers - June onwards.

Handy tip - Outstanding in containers, dead head regularly to prolong the flowering season.
