The seeds and leaves can be used in pickles and cooking. This herb grows to about 150cm.,Seed Count: 300,WHEN TO SOW Spring when the soil is warm WHERE TO SOW Sow in shallow drills spaced well apart and cover with fine soil. Water well and thin or transplant when plants are large enough to handle. Full sun is needed with well-drained soil. Avoid clay soils. HARVEST Leaves at any time and seeds when ripe. Bulbs should be dug up in the autumn USES To preserve, freeze leaves or infuse in oil or vinegar. Dry the seed. HANDY TIP Grind 4 tbsp of fennel seeds with 2 handfuls of thyme leafs, two bay leaves and 2 gloves of garlic, add some ground black pepper and pinch of salt to make a delicious rub for any red meat.
