Description

Water Cress seeds is strong in flavour and is a tall growing variety. It does not require running water but does need moisture at the roots at all times. Sow the seeds in a seed tray in March, prick off when large enough to handle into a large container lined with polythene to retain moisture, planting the seedlings 15cm apart and keep moist and in a shady position. Remove any flower buds as they appear. Cut plants 4cm above the soil to allow re-growth.

What to do next: thin out seedlings as they grow until 10cm apart. Water Cress may readily be cultivated without running water but it must be keep very moist.
