Cylindra Beetroot seeds
This variety of beetroot produce medium length (7-10cm long) cylindrical roots with rich red coloured skin and flesh. Perfect for slicing and easier to prepare than globe types as its a half long stump rooted variety. Excellent sweet flavour. Plants grow to 45cm tall.

WHEN TO SOW
March to July
WHERE TO SOW Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (3/4"") deep with 30cm (12"") between the rows.
WHAT TO DO NEXT Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow, to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4""). Do not transplant.
NUTRITIONAL VALUES Rich in Beta carotene, calcium, iron and folic acid.
HANDY TIP The roots hold for good period before going ""woody"" Will pull and store for winter use.
