Totally unique single type with startlingly attractive red and yellow striped flowers which are stunning in borders and containers.
WHEN TO SOW February to April
WHERE TO SOW Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in posts or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite.
Place in a propagator or in a warm place, and keep at a temperature of between 21-25°C (70-75°F).
After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination which usually takes 7-21 days.
WHAT TO DO NEXT As soon as seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12") apart in well drained soil in full sun.
MATURITY June to October HEIGHT 30cm (12") HANDY TIP Dead-heading will prolong life and increase flowering ability.
