Canadian Wonder is a reliable old favourite giving heavy crops of oval to flat pods which are just packed with excellent flavour. It produces attractive bright green pods which must be picked young. This family of beans is frost tender and cannot be sown until the weather has warmed up.,Seed Count: 150,WHEN TO SOW April to June WHERE TO SOW Early sowings in glasshouse or cold frame in individual pots. Direct sowings in growing site, two seeds 5cm (2"") deep every 20cm (8"") in rows 60cm (24"") apart. WHAT TO DO NEXT Glasshouse seedlings should be gradually hardened off before planting outside in late May to the spacings above. Direct sowings should be thinned to single seedlings as soon as large enough to handle. Water regularly. MATURITY July onwards HANDY TIP In the early stages of growth the plants need protection from slugs and regular weeding. NUTRITIONAL VALUE A good source of Pro-vitamin A, Vitamin K and Folic acid.
