Description
This is our own variety, selected from crops on our Essex farm! Crimson King produces medium to large round roots the size of a tennis ball. Deep red / purple with fine flavour and texture with no rings. Ideal for winter storage.
Easy to grow and tastier than shop bought beetroot!
Pack Size: 300 Seeds
When to Sow Crimson King Beetroot Seeds: March to July.
Where to Sow: Direct into growing site in shallow drills 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart.
What to do next: Do not transplant. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 10cm apart or 15cm if larger roots are required.
Maturity: June to October
Handy Tip: To get sweet small roots for use whole in salads, thin to 5cm, and when the size of a golf ball, lift alternate roots.
