Description

The peaceful wild bees are among the most beneficial and helpful to pollinate the plants and flowers in your garden. This house can be hung or put on its feet and provides several types of bees with an excellent nesting ground. Each kind of wild bee prefers a certain egg-laying opening and a particular cross-section. Mason Bees for example, inhabit holes with a diameter of 3 to 7 mm (0.12” to 0.28”) while hylaeus bees prefer 2 to 4 mm (0.08” to 0.16”). A queen bee creates her egg cells in the narrow wooden cavities and then supplies the nest with pollen and nectar. The wild bees lock the cells using clay.
