When to Sow Red Ensign Sweet Pea Seeds

These can be sown from September through to April.

Where to Sow

Sow Indoors from October - March and place in a coldframe or cool greenhouse. Harden off in March and then plant out in April. April or September sowings can be made direct to the flowering site at 2cm deep.

What to do Next

Glasshouse raised seedlings should be hardened off during March. Plant out pot grown seedlings in the flowering site 15cm (6") apart in April. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4") apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
