Johnson’s Scaly Lotion 15 ml – a safe, gentle, soothing lotion for treatment of scaly face & scaly leg in cage birds. (e.g Budgerigars, Canaries, etc.)

Scaly face & scaly leg are caused by a small mite which bores into the cere, beak & legs, causing tissue damage, unsightly scaly growths & in severe or untreated cases, deformities of toes and beak.

Because the infection can spread rapidly to other birds, early treatment is necessary as soon as any symptoms appear.

Size: 15 ml

Directions for use: Apply two to four drops to affected areas, ensuring whole of the affected area is treated. You also can use a small, clean, dry artists paint brush, or cotton bud to apply the lotion. Avoid eyes & nostrils. Apply once every two days for a period of 11 days (6 applications).

If symptoms re-appear then repeat treatment as above. Isolate affected from unaffected birds. Also, clean all cages, perches, feed & water containers & other equipment with disinfectant approved use in aviaries.

If there are other signs of illness or feather damage then consult a veterinary surgeon promptly.
