Description

Originally bred locally by Ralph Gould. Free flowering bushy variety with yellow blooms with an eye catching dark ring in the centre, adding to its appeal. Flowers all summer until first autumn frosts. Excellent weather resistance.

Height: 70cm (28"")

Pack size: 150 Seeds

Sow February to April

Where to sow - On the surface of good free-draining seed compost in pots or trays. Cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost of vermiculite. Place in a propagator or a warm place at a temperature of 20-25°C (68-77°F) until after germination which usually takes 7-21 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.

What to do next - Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost has passed, 30cm (12"") apart.

Flowers July onwards.

Handy Tip - Rudbeckia are very weather resistant so are ideal for planting in an exposed or sheltered border.
