Asparagus peas have small winged pods that should be harvested when they reach about 3-4cm long (1-2"). Cooked whole, they have a superb flavour akin to Asparagus. Brilliant scarlet flowers and can be grown with no support. These will crop all summer long if picked regularly. The pods camouflage well in the foliage, so be sure to search well for them! Also known as winged Pea.
